Committed to serving those affected by work-related trauma, Tara has particular experience working with women, veterans, first responders, and nurses. She also provides specialized care for injured workers under New York workers’ compensation—conducting thorough clinical evaluations, coordinating with employers and occupational medicine providers, navigating documentation and authorization processes, and advocating for timely, evidence-based treatment and functional recovery. Her dual certification in pediatric nursing enhances her ability to assess and manage family-centered concerns and developmental considerations across the lifespan.
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, she offers deep expertise in perinatal mental health—supporting people through pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and breastfeeding concerns with sensitivity to the unique biological, relational, and psychosocial needs of the perinatal period. She addresses perinatal care holistically, coordinating with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation specialists, and family supports to promote maternal-infant health and attachment while minimizing treatment barriers.
Beyond clinical practice, Tara has worked internationally developing nurse practitioner programs in South Africa and is passionate about advancing global mental health equity and access to care. She aims to deliver respectful, culturally informed services that promote healing, resilience, and meaningful recovery for each person she serves.
